One of the most exciting moments had been the moment when our plane landed on the island. Namely, you have a feeling like the plane will land on the see and in the last moment, you could see green vegetation on the island and plane that lands on airport that is completely different from the usual airports. The whole airport is actually an open area with only wooden eaves. So, the luggage lap circles outdoors, surrounded by palm trees and beautiful vegetation. Welcome to the Koh Samui!

Our hotel has been located on the Lamai beach and has been very nice as the all other on this island. The complete hotel area is somehow half-opened, full of Orchid and other wonderful vegetation. The hotel is conceived as many houses in rows and I need to mention our own jacuzzi-pool in front of our house, Orchid in our small garden and beautiful space inside.

Between beautiful plants, the path goes to the other parts of the hotel area. At the bottom of the hotel’s area, you could find the pool with the deckchairs. And just near the pool, you could see a beautiful sandy beach and palm trees…the view all around is absolutely gorgeous…beautiful beach and vegetation…

What I also recommend is to enjoy famous Thai massage of the whole body or foot massage, that is offered on every corner and what is more, it is really affordable. About food, it is definitely something that I have to stress out as a great experience. Namely, Thai food has really wonderful taste, it is colorful, exotic and real feast for your palate. Walking during the evening, we have chosen one restaurant which has been the most crowded and we have not made a mistake. Every evening for dinner we had a different menu and it is important to emphasize that total menu (with dessert and beer Singha) had really acceptable price…and a great taste.

Additionally, you could enjoy all of that exotic fruit and could try different street food all around (some familiar – papaya salad, rice noodles with curry…and some more strange, such are roasted bugs, for the braver). Here, you could also make a great shopping, but mostly there are souvenir shops. The prices are really acceptable and we have been worried about of waist of our suitcases. Beside the beautiful nature, here, you could also visit different temples, such as Big Buddha or Wat Phra Yai.

I definitely recommend to visit some other place/beach on Koh Samui, since every single one is special in their own way, vegetation is beautiful (forest full of hidden waterfalls), sea is endless, food delicious and smiling and extremely kind locals:) Regarding the weather, you should know that October and November are the island’s rainiest months.
